Prof. Dr. Rini Rachmawati, S.Si., M.T. Professor in Urban Geography. Trained in Geography and Urban and Regional Planning. Experience on Smart City, Village, and Region; Urban Development; Urban Geography; Urban and Regional Planning; Regional Development; and Development Geography. Have been involved in many organization particularly on ForUm Network (Forum for Urban Future in Southeast Asia Network of Southeast Asian and German Experts), AURA (Asian Urban Research Association), IAP (Indonesian Association of Urban and Regional Planners), IGI (Indonesian Association of Geographer), APIC (Smart Indonesia Initiatives Association) and IEEE Smart Community Member. Chairman of 13th Asian Urbanization Conference that held in UGM in 2016. Had experience as a Coordinator of Summer Course on Smart City, Village and Region, held in UGM 2017, 2018, 2021. Coordinator of Smart City, Village, and Region Research Group and Urban Development Research Group. Another activities as a Supervisor and Evaluator of 100 Movement Toward Indonesian Smart City, Ministry of Communication and Information of the Republic of Indonesia. Supervisor and Expert in Smart City Masterplan Development of Capital City, Ministry of Communication and Information and Evaluator of Electronic Based Government System, Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment. Recent research activities are on the topic of Smart Sustainable Urban Development and Capital Cities.
