On November 26, 2024, Dissemination Event on Public Satisfaction Survey for Yogyakarta City Infrastructure Services in 2024 was held. This activity is a collaboration between the Department of Public Works, Housing, and Settlement Areas (Dinas Pekerjaan Umum, Perumahan, dan Kawasan Permukiman/ DPUPKP) of Yogyakarta City and the Center for Southeast Asian Social Studies (CESASS) UGM.

Located at 2nd Floor of CESASS UGM, the activity was opened by Prof. Dr. Rini Rachmawati, S.Si., M.T. (Head of Regional Development Master Program and Director of CESASS UGM), as well as the Team Leader of Public Satisfaction Survey for Yogyakarta City Infrastructure Services in 2024. Present as speakers were the Head of DPUPKP, Secretary of DPUPKP and Junior Expert Planner of DPUPKP Yogyakarta City. The event was also attended by CESASS research staff, expert assistants, and surveyors consisting of Regional Developments Master Program students. read more

On Saturday, November 16, 2024, the Head of Regional Development Master Program, Prof. Dr. Rini Rachmawati, S.Si., M.T., was a speaker at the Webinar “Cities for All: Inclusive Cities for All”. This activity was organized by the Planning Expert Association (Ikatan Ahli Perencanaan/ IAP) of Central Java Province online through Zoom. Prof. Rini delivered material on “Smart City as a Future City in Indonesia”.

Head of Regional Development Master Program, Prof. Dr. Rini Rachmawati, S.Si., M.T., was a speaker at the Demand-Based Transportation Service Industry Policy Discussion Forum held in Jakarta by Obviously Sustainable in collaboration with Grab. Prof. Rini discussed about “Smart City: Smart Transportation (Mobility) and Sustainability”. The event was attended by academics from various universities in Indonesia. The activity continued with a roundtable discussion and Grab office tour. The results of the discussion led to further research activities with industry. read more

Head of Regional Development Master Program, Prof. Dr. Rini Rachmawati, S.Si., M.T., was one of the speakers at the Collaborative Seminar themed “Nusantara Capital City (Ibu Kota Nusantara/ IKN) Transformation: Environmental, Social, and Political Impacts on National Development,” on Sunday, November 10, 2024, from 08:30 AM to 12:45 PM, held at the Tropical Biology Auditorium, Faculty of Biology UGM. This seminar is a collaboration between the Department of Public Opinion Management of the Faculty of Biology Student Executive Board, the Ministry of Strategic Action and Propaganda Study of the Faculty of Geography Student Executive Board, and the Ministry of Strategic Study of the Faculty of Forestry Student Executive Institution. read more

The webinar “Getting to Know the Regional Development Master Program” Master of Geography, Faculty of Geography, Universitas Gadjah Mada, was held on Friday, November 8, 2024, from 1-3 PM online via Zoom. The event was opened by the Head of Regional Development Master Program, Prof. Dr. Rini Rachmawati, S.Si., M.T. Information was also provided about the Regular, By Research, Double Degree, LPDP Scholarship, and Erasmus+ Program Exchange with Utrecht University program.

The event features the Regional Development Master Program Ambassador to share experiences and information about lectures, tips for obtaining scholarships, and the relevance of applying knowledge in the workforce. At the alumni session, Ach. Firyal Wijdani, S.Si., M.Sc., who has worked at the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Defense Agency, was present. In the student session, it was attended by Kunastya Mulya Pinta Ramadhan, S.Si. (Fast Track Program Student), Pinta Rachmadani, S.Si. (Regular LPDP Scholarship Awardee), Fatnarika Beta Haqi, S.Si. (Targeted ASN LPDP Scholarship Awardee), Vina Yunita, S.Si. (Affirmative Region LPDP Scholarship Awardee), and Gisela Liberty Lasut, S.Geo. (Erasmus+ Exchange Program Student from Utrecht University). This webinar was attended by 134 participants from various universities in Indonesia. read more
