Regional Development Studies is one of the interests of the Master of Geography study program, Universitas Gadjah Mada. The purpose of this program is to prepare professional experts in the field of Regional Development with a scientific basis and Geographic approach. The Regional Development Studies curriculum is designed to be able to understand, map and critically examine the development of geographic schools of thought and regional development thinking and place thinking as the mainstream. In addition, the curriculum is also designed to be able to conduct spatial analysis, and carry out inter and multi-disciplinary research in the field of regional development and / or spatial development by placing the theory appropriately and choosing appropriate research methods and techniques.
WHAT IS BEING STUDIED?
The curriculum is designed to achieve experts who are able to work synergistically with various other experts in the process of decision making, problem solving, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation in regional development and have high sensitivity to regional development issues.
